Best quiver for a short bow?

I have a new to me 58" thunderchild I am looking for a quiver for.  I would like it to be a strap on model.

I have to shoot at least 30" arrows per my draw, so I was concerned with the arrows hitting the ground while i'm leaning the bow up against a tree or something like that.  Any good recommendations?

I would love to see some pics of your set up..

Kanati Pro. Works great on my 60" Kota Kill Um and my other 60" recurve.  I shoot full length arrows.

Given your arrow length, they're probably going to hit the ground regardless of what bow quiver you attach to your bow.  To function properly, limb mounted quivers  must be slid all the way onto the riser fade outs.

When you do this, the hood ends up 6-8 inches from the center of the bow, which means that the arrows extend to near the lower limb tip.  That, in turn, means they're going to stick into the ground when you lean your bow against a tree.  No way around it with a limb mounted quiver.  Of course, you can always prop up your bow upside down.

If you drill the riser to accept quiver bushings, you may have a little more adjustability.  But the riser on a short bow is also short, and you would need fairly long extension arms or rod that slides on the quiver mounts to move the arrows up, and that can lead to balance and vibration noise problems.

Sounds like me, my arrows are 32" and I know all too well about what your concerns are, we have a strap-on model that would work great, it allows for better spacing between the hood and arrow gripper, which in turn cuts down on vibration and arrow slap, and you can get it in our classic durable rawhide, we are now offering some custom stitch colors as well. If you are interested don't hesitate to shoot me a PM.
Thanks and good luck on your search

Check out Eagle Flight Archery, i have the Apache and love it. Also check out Selway and some of the other quiver brands. To many choises to chose from.

I have an EFA Apache and love it as well but on my 56" Lost Creek the arrow closest to the back of my bow comes in contact with the ground when leaned against a tree but not enough for concern.I'm convinced someone will step in with the right answer shortly. I'll be watching as I can see a Thunderchild in my future.Oh and I do have the setback option with Totem.

I like the Great Northern Extreme. It extends the grippers back towards the bow string giving better clearance.

That said Big Jim makes a bracket for his strap on quiver that does the same thing I don't know if it's on his web site yet but if you do a search on here you will find it.

I shoot a 56" JavaMan Elkheart with 31" Cedars and I prefer a Great Northern Extreme Kickback.
I have used EFA's and Kanati's in the past but the GN feels more secure and quiet to me.

The Kanati Angle Pro - the angled method of carry is a must for short bows.  Having said that, you will still likely hit your arrows on the ground if you try to stand it up by the bottom limb.  That's a nature of the beast unfortunately.  As mentioned before, the hood needs to be right at the end of the riser, so it's going to push those 30" arrows further down.

I have tried all the quivers - GN, Kanati, EFA, Bear spring arm, Thunderhorns, Selways, etc.  My favorites are the Kanati Angle Pro and the EFA's.
