My group was fortunate to draw Deer Creek the same weekend. Anyone have any recommendations for that area?

Hope to meet some of the Gang there.

My group finally drew!!  It's been 5 years since we have gone.  Meanwhile, a group of buddies have drawn two years in a row and those suckers drew again!  Three years in a row!  Go figure.   So, there will be 8 of us from the Muskogee Area in Deer Creek Nov. 6-8... going to be a blast!
We have never hunted deer creek so I would love intel as well.

Tim...Tim.... don't be a hater lol. The deer are safe with us there. We see them. They always seem to be just out of reach.

I didn't draw for McAlester but I have a quality pass from the doe I shot last year. Boggy November 13. My buddies didn't get one so I'm flying solo. Anyone wants to meet up there and hunt together I'd be up for it. This will be my third time in Boggy.

Good to see so many of my TG buddies got drawn this year. Nothing but preference points for me this year. Good luck to you all, and I look forward to the stories!

Are you guys talking about being drawn for Elk? I had no idea there was that big of an Elk herd in Oklahoma. I also had no idea there were antelope there until I just looked at their fish and game regs! Man I need to travel more...

We are talking about a deer hunt that requires traditional equipment with a good chance at a trophy.

Shreffler-  no, not elk.... whitetail at a large Army Ammunition Plant in McAlester.   It's a 40k acre plant that is tightly managed by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife, resulting in some world class bucks taken each year.  And what's especially cool is its a trad bow only hunt.  There are about 300 hunters there each weekend from Oct to mid November.

Oklahoma does have an Elk hunt draw too but it's very small.
