I just got back from a successful Kansas hunt and am chomping at the bit to play with our Missouri birds! I took Monday off to hunt with a buddy of mine.

Our season comes in Monday, got my blind out and setup and guess what? Took a big dose of the flu. Just my luck, haven't been sick all winter and my wife took sick Tuesday.

Our season begins Monday also. Took my grand daughter out for youth season today. We can only hunt until 1pm here. It was a cool 39* and overcast. Heard a few early gobbles (on the roost) and that was it.

Blind is up with the decoys inside... ready for Monday.
