Anyone ever use poplar in a riser for a laminated bow?  Any reason not to?  Thanks,

Stan

The sounds of CRACK and KABOOM!!! Would be the reasons I wouldnt use it. Way to soft for a riser section.

Poplar is farily brittle. It also is very light and your bow would probably have a great amount of handshock.
