You will get your Deer just stay persistent and don't get discouraged. My friends laughed at me  when I first switched to a stick bow but after many deer and small game kills they are not laughing anymore .

Nothing clears a troubled mind like shooting a bow.

Liz,
New to the forum and just finished reading your journey of the past year. What a story!
You mentioned early on that no family or friends were into archery or hunting. You have obviously found your passion and have affected so many here and those you have met along the way. So just curious what was the spark that got you going?
Seems to be the only missing part of this wonderful story.

Well, I started to go down the outdoors path back in the summer of 1993 when I visited my Uncles farm in upstate NY, but my life took a detour and I didn't rediscover myself until 20 years later.  My attention was turned toward archery by someone I knew as a teen, but was no longer in my life.  I figured I would try it.  I knew I was bit as soon as I held a bow for the first time.  And, well, you guys know the rest!     :D
P.S.  I feel like I am on the path that I always should have been on.  Better late than never. I am even planning to pursue a DNR degree.    :)

Thank you again to everyone for your support. Archery has really saved me.
