portable hunting chair

Has anyone had the opportunity yet to try the new portable chair that Redneck Blind makes? It sells for around $99. It was advertised in this months issue of Trad Bow under new items. Thanks in advance! Jon

but heres what I know/learned about hunting chairs.

Portability = uncomfortable
Comfort = Un-Portability

Most comfortable chairs work well in blinds where they dont have to be moved or carried
due to construction and padding they cannot be carried unless they have a pack system.

Short three legged tripods are light and easy to pack... but are a pain in the butt.

Ive found a short 3 gallon buck screwed to a five gallon (end to end) with a swivel top the most comfortable.
My legs hang comfortable, although my profile is higher off the ground. But its not the most portable also.
But I normally have a spot that I hide it.
If someone steals in Im only out 10 bucks as opposed to $100/

I got that chair last fall and love it.I have the 360 and a few others and like this the best.I use it for ground blinds and not pop ups,but it should work well in one.Its very comfortable and great on the back and not bad to carry.

Might want to look at the Shappel trail chair.

no dis respect tgbow, but that shappell chair  is junk. the footprint is so narrow that it tips over very easly and the back rest is useless, it tips over before you can get any weight against the back. I wish I would not have waisted my money on it.

    I got one of these, super solid. great back support and only weighs about 6 lbs.

I think I've woned and tried about as many as they make plus a whole bunch of my own design but all those got put aside once I got the Waldrop Pacseat.

I would part with mine for any amount of money unless it was enough to buy a couple more...lol

arrow30, while can see how your suggestion will work on situations with fairly level and firm ground, I am afraid on the hill sides and wet bottoms that I hunt, I think it would be somewhat limiting. My wife I have gone to Huntmores, they work for both situations. My wife puts hers in a narrow pack and I tump strap mine for carrying. Considering that I use to carry a 24 pound climber, the Huntmor is light by comparison. Of course, we hunt out of natural blinds and change locations often depending on wind, deer patterns and hunting pressure, so portability is critical.

X3! I bought one of these and used it for the first time in ND in December.  Great chair!  My host on that hunt liked it too,  so Ilet it with him as a gift.  I've since replaced it with another for myself.

I also have a Waldrop, and that is a good chair for some situations,  but this Millennium is far more comfortable.
