How would you tell if a Damon Howatt x200 is FF compatible or not?  The website shows that they are, but I do not know how long they have been made and if this bow if older or not.

thanks for any help.

I was not aware that any Damon Howatt badged  bows were FF compatable. Martin era yes. But those are not really DH's. Same design maybe. I may be wrong so double check on that.      Joshua

I do not believe the x200 was ever made in the USA...I believe they were all made in Italy so lumping them in with the other DH bows may not be wise...I doubt very much a well built low stretch string will do any harm to that bow, but if you want to be safe get someone to build you a braided loop b50 string for it

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Martin purchased the Damon Howatt factory years ago and recently went back to the name.  It is hard to find the Martin Archery name on a new Damon Howatt.

My suggestion would be to use B-50 bowstring.  You can use a 12 strand bowstring.  No worries then.

Daniel,

I just pm'd you contact info for Larry Hatfield. He was a designer/bower for Howatt and then Damon Howatt, if I recall correctly.

thank you for all your help fellas.

Dave,
a customer had asked me and I did not know, which is why I brought it to the 'gang'.  We found out it isn't rated for FF so we made him a b55 string.
