Well it's the late season here in MI (although you can't tell it from the lack of snow in the pics). I've been wanting to get an EFA quiver for my Super Shrew Classic Hunter and when I saw the recent EFA Mesa quiver thread, I pulled the trigger. Well Don helped me through a couple of questions and Saturday a dandy little package arrived.  I spent yesterday getting it in place/shooting with my Autumn Legend arrows from Ron LaClair/Elite Arrows mounted with Ace Standard 160 grain 2 blade heads. The combo is absolutely dead quiet and shoots perfectly.  I've got two weeks left to chase whitetails that are on pins and needles, so I can't think of a better combination to get it done.  If I had some of the 'Shadow Wing' arrows from Ron LaClair in the quiver I'd call this 'The Dark Shadow' rig (anyone remember that daytime show from the 60's/70's?)     ;)

Anyway, Merry Christmas to me for a tidy little shooting package.

Ray you definitely need some   Shadow Wing arrows to be color coordinated...   :bigsmyl:

Wow! Ray, you didn't waste any time getting that quiver on your bow. I believe that you are going to like it a lot. Ron's right. Those Shadow Wings would look great in that combo.

Oh boy, the world of grief the Mrs would give me if she thought I was buying different arrows because they are more color coordinated.   :readit:

Therefore I'm going to order them because I want to use that setup for turkeys and all good turkey hunters understand the need for proper camouflage.   ;)

Wasn't that "white shadow"? About the basketball coach?

That looks great Ray! I'll have to try and meet up with you sometime and check that bow out. I've been getting the itch for a shrew but have never shot one yet.

I have been contemplating getting one of those Mesa arrow quivers for my Caribow tuktu XT.... you may have just convinced me.....
Everything has a price - the more we accept, the more the cost

Very nice Ray! Is this the bow that I'm building the all black string for? I think it will look awesome!

Ray Lyon

Yes Allan, that's what you're building the string for. The string on there is better for my carbon arrow nocks and I really like those Elite wood arrows. It's probably anecdotal, but I think wood is quieter, and at this time of year, that's super important to me.

Brad, we can get together at the Williamsburg range next spring.  Great 30 target course and my daughter Morgan is looking for some fresh meat to put a whuppin on the course (don't bet against her unless you bring a little extra cash)    ;)   .

Oh TJ, my wife just thinks Tradgang is facebook for traditional bow hunters.  She doesn't know of all the shopping opportunities here.  I keep a cluttered archery area in the house.  Don't want it to look obvious when there's something new in the stable.     :nono:

I can't post pics yet because I had a minor foot surgery procedure that's got me barely getting around.  However, I received Allen Shafer's double Katz silencer all black Rhino string with tie on double nocks.  All I can say is WOW! !!!  Flat out never had a string tuned in six shots. I put the string on the bow and left it strung two nights ago.  Took it out today with no change in brace and twisted the tie on nocks to my general nock point hieght.  My nocks fit the string perfect with a light snap. Pulled on the rubber whiskers to spread them out. First three arrows waving a little.  Adjusted nocks down and bam, yellow blurs flyin like lasers and two field points and one broadheads grouped tight in the target.  The string is super quiet too.

Thanks for making it so easy Allen and for the always fast service! !!
