I recently purchased a Bamabows Royal Expedition III from Nate at Bamabows. I happen to live within 2 hours of Nate and on one of my visits to him he had this riser glued up and I had him build me a bow from it. This is Nate's third edition of this model and he has hit the nail on the head. It is 60" reflex/deflex 48@28. Riser is zebra wood with a wenge accent strip outlined with maple. The limbs are walnut core with a thin strip of white glass and stained tiger maple veneers under clear glass. Limb tips are streaky buffalo horn. Riser overlay is zebrawood over a layer of wenge. This is one of the best shooting reflex/deflex bows I have shot to date. I cannot get pictures to upload. If someone would post them for me, please send me your e-mail.

Beautiful bow, may have to drive up after the first of the year and talk to Nate myself. Here's the pics:

Very hansdome bow. Is there much early weight starting the draw? Thanks.

One bow. One arrow. My ideal.

Bob, I do not notice any early weight, just a smooth draw cycle to the release.
Jon, Be patient. In time yours will come and you will enjoy it more than ever. Be sure to post picture when you get yours.

Nate builds a fine bow and I would buy from him again in a heartbeat.  This is one of the handsomest Bamas Ive seen.

Got to shoot #2 that he built for my cousins son, I agree this new design is spot on very smooth for a 60in R/D longbow no stack at all! Plus the wood combos and detail are impeccable!
