My buddy texted me at work early this morning asking if I wanted to explore some new territory after work. (We both work the overnight, so our days are often filled with adventure). Of course I was interested!

We couldn't have asked for a nicer day. Temps in the 30's and a great piece of land to roam freely.

This beaver pond provided a great view while we took a break from our roving.

Later, while exploring a swamp with heavy cover, we came across some fresh tracks that had us interested.

We found that a deer carcass had this bear, and some coyotes coming in for the past couple days. Now there was nothing left but a few scraps of intestine.

We continued to roam, and fully enjoy the new scenery along with the target rich environment for stumping.

To me, it seems that every day roaming the woods with my buddy is an epic adventure, even on the simplest of walks.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Any day in the woods is always better than sitting on the couch... I say the same when I'm on the river in the summer. I share the night shift with ya and the way my schedule works the majority of my days off are in the middle of the week when most of the world is working! Thanks for sharing your day with your friend!
I'd rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6
