What do you guys like for a leave in type of ladder for hang on stands. I really liked the Rivers Edge ladder that had double rungs but I think they stopped making them? Thanks.  BILL

The Rivers Edge ladders are all I use. I have the type with the center spline and the single horizontal rung. I know they still make those.

Gotcha, I thought they stopped making them.  Bill

I have several varieties.  I've figured out that I like angled steps and the double steps are pretty nice.  Another thing that's nice is to use a ladder that goes well above the stand, like a 16 ft stand with a 20 ft ladder.  The extra height really helps getting in and out.

What I do dislike are the buckle straps and attach points near the tree.  Neither works well for getting the ladder tight to the tree.  I have my own rope attach method and usually add a ratchet strap at the top.

Rivers Edge ladder for me as well. Big Game also makes a ladder similar to the rivers edge but the straps on the Rivers Edge are substantially better.

The Sportsman's Guide has a 20' ladder that usually sells for less than $50 that's a pretty good deal. I've accumulated four of them over the years. Never had an issue with setting them up or hanging loc-ons from them. Easy cinch straps and they fit around most of the trees that I hang stands from.
