Who would have expected this reply......   :biglaugh:    :biglaugh:
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Not looking to start a debate, but I always felt that longbows are enherently quieter.
That being said; I hunt with a 60" recurve, for its manuverability in a treestand.

Started with a recurve but switched to a longbow about 10 years ago and have never looked back. Now own 12 of the buggers of various shapes and lengths. Have never had a problem with obstruction,  because I pay close attention to such and trim as needed. With that said I do not hunt with my 68" Hill TD, but prefer to hunt with my 62" to 66" bows, depending on the terrain and circumstances(stand type and location, weather, distance from truck, etc.). Good luck, be safe and shoot straight.   :campfire:

I use a hybrid long bow - but have had recurves.  I would say my long bow is definitely quieter and it's lighter as well.

Don't plan on ever changing again but nothing against the others.

You really haven't hunted the old fashion way until you've done it from one of these Indian houses.(The Tipi) "Glenn ST. Charles"
