Just finished building a longbow and a recurve for two friends, both are about 55-59# @ 29", I shoot much lower weight and shorte draw.

Wondering where I should start for carbons for these two. Both cut to center.

I'm thinking 400 spine full length or near that, 100 gr insert and 125gr points.  Neither of these guys is big into trad (yet) so I want to keep a standard 100, 125, or 150 point so they can shoot a common broadhead like the magnus stinger.

I am thinking that the 400 should work fine as long as head weight is variable, to allow for fine tuning. Maybe go to the three rivers site and use that spine chart there, just to be sure.

Maybe my form sucks but I'm shooting a old Bear griz now.
it's marked 50# and I draw about 27.25"

It paper tunes great with ...
a beeman bowhunter 500 cut to 28.75" to BOP
with a 300 grain tip.

558 grains total
11.16 gpp
28.26 foc
