I'm looking at doing this special hunt in a couple
of years(have to buy all the gear first)and I was wondering if anyone has done it or looked into it.
It looks to be real challenging because you have to carry in all your supplies to last the duration
of your hunt plus a couple extra days worth in case the ferry can't make the scheduled pick-up
due to the weather.
Any info or advice would be thankful.

Denny,

You may want to contact the Park Service Rangers at Sleeping Bear Dunes headquarters. They should be able to give you some of the basics, since they are administrators of the hunt. You may want to post a thread on the MI Bowsite conference too, since I'm venturing this hunt is regional in nature. I've wondered about this before, but I don't like snakes and I hate poisen ivy, and from what I'm told, they're both prevelant there.   Good luck.
