Another vote for a Mojostick, I've got a 62" one that is just slick.

Many options to consider.  Different lengths, grip style, takedown and type of takedown - bow bolt, carbon sleeve, metal sleeve, hinge, jack knife and 3 piece.  Toelke has a lot of good options with two types of grips and a 1 piece, bow bolt or 3 piece.  Fox has good choices in length and offers the 2 piece metal sleeve. One of these kinds of bows is next on my list and I am leaning towards the Fox Breed because compactness and takedown are my priorities. Good luck with your search.

BW PSR, has to be one of the best, most fun bows I've ever shot (and I have had a lot !!!)

I have a 2 pc, 46@28 so it's about 50# at my draw. It's going on a bear and elk hunt the next two months.

You do have lots of options for having a new 50's style curve built today.

However do not forget the vintage bows; they are great bows, terrific shooters, and you can buy multiple models for the price of a new built custom one. I have a 59 Kodiak, a 62 Grizzly, a 60 Shakespear, a Browning Cobra II, and a sweet Ben Pearson.

Here is my 1960 Shakespear

Hey Joe, you wouldn't happen to have a picture of the "Sweet Ben Pearson" to share would you?

A takedown Black Widow PSR is about as sweet as it gets for me.

The bows from the 50's that I've been able to purchase all have one thing in common, they are refined and fast. Several limbs designs had more than the typical two lams you see on most bow limbs today. I agree with Joe VT, don't overlook the real 50's bows, you might be surprised with the quality and speed of the vintage bows.

One that really surprised me was a 50's Hoyt. The 55 & 56 Kodiaks were pretty quick as well.

I can't believe that no one has mentioned the new Bear 59 Kodiak. It has become a favorite of mine and I'm turning it into this years meat maker.

I still prefer an original 57 Kodiak. The Great Northern Ghost,Roberston Peregrine, and current 59 Kodiak are also good shooters.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the all Yew St Charles Thunderbird,, the ghost in green glass and the jack knife option is sweet too..

I honestly haven't shot most of the bows mentioned here so I'm cheerfully biased.

I shoot a Wild Horse Creek Mariah. It's a beauty and shoots like a dream. I also have a Northern Mist Ottawa that is top-notch as well.
I've owned Kohannah Kurves, excellent bows.
