I am going elk hunting in a couple of weeks and was wondering about a bone saw for the pelvis area and was wondering who made a good one that I can get cheap????  maybe one of our sponsors or something?

I just use a hacksaw with a new blade.  After all bones is bones right.

I like my Knapp saw.. But my butcher friend never uses a saw.  He says you can seperate any joints with just a kinfe.. I've seen him do it too.. As for the pelvis, I carry a Schrade hone steel that is pointed on one end.. It is chisel shapped and I use it at times to seperate the pelvis, or actually the scrotum area if I need to. Usually I do not need to seperate it to get the guts out.
Damn Nice guy
