Toelke Whip

Had the opportunity to try out one of Dan and Jared's td longbows this past weekend, and I have to say it is the quietest bow I have ever shot.

I've never shot.a longbow well for whatever reason, but this one may change my luck. Out of 14 arrows at 20 yards, 10 were in thebullseye and the 4 that were just outside I felt my bow arm drop, completely my fault.

After I get a pack and boots bought, this will be the next bow I buy. I love my TallTines recurve and will someday have a custom one built but the td Whip will be up first on the list!

If the grip works for you a Whip is awfully tough to beat. Dan's limbs have the best shooting chariteristics. The Lynx with longbow limbs shoots very similar if you like more mass weight like on the tall tines.

Dan's longbows are among the best around. Dead quiet and easy to shoot. Love em. Biathlon is right, the Lynx with longbow limbs is close to being a 3pc Whip. You can't beat the 2pc though for great balance of mass and still light for travel, not to mention tool-less takedown.

And with that I just broke 4000 posts. Jeez I have an affliction.

-haven't shot a whip, but Dan sent me a Lynx to try out, and your right on about the quietness.

Quiet, absolute shock free, fast bow. Ended up ordering one with a modified grip, and had to get the longbow limbs also. I need another bow like I need a hole in my head, but, what the hay.

If you like the Whip you will love the Super Static. Try one before you make a choice if you didn't try one already.

Dan invited me up to his place to try out the different models before I buy and I plan on taking him up on that offer

Take him up on that offer. There you can check out woods, different bows, and gain much knowledge from Dan and Jared. He will have your bow done quicker than you could imagine. All my bows are under 30 days. The kestrel seemed like a week and a half.

When you find some let me know eh? I've been looking for that elusive " bunch of extra money" for many years. LoL

My son shoots a Whip and loves it. I get the chance to shoot it now and then as we are both left handed. That is, when it isn't glued to his hand!

I loved my whip! I've actually tried to buy it back and can't track it down... That being said I purchased mine used and had a question, called dan directly on his cell phone and talked to him one on one. It ranks high on my list when I can call a company and talk with a human being that I can understand and not get a recording or someone whom has never shot a bow! Great bows and super nice folks to deal with!

I've been shooting a 62" Classic Whip for a few days now and really like it. It is an excellent balance between the shootability of a mild D/R and the performance of a hybrid. Dead quiet, no bad manners, wonderful grip and excellent craftsmanship.

I was lucky enough to get a Whip from the classifieds here. I'm sure glad the bow didn't fit the previous owner because I absolutely love it.

I ordered a Whip last week,Dan is a good guy to talk with,very easy to talk to and have him understand what you are looking for.Can't wait to get the new bow!!

I've got a 2-piece Bow Bolt 62" Whip. It's a well-made bow and quite fast for 45#. Have thought about selling mine since I only shoot it occasionally and the money would be handy right now, but it's a hard bow to let go of...it shoots that good.

If you decide to order one be sure to check out the thumb locator (standard Whip) if possible. Some prefer Toelke's 'Classic' model (no thumb locator) but I think the 'thumb bump' is an excellent design for achieving a repeatable grip.
