I went to the Howard Hill shoot this past weekend at Tannehill park in Alabama, and, as usual, had a great time. I did not win honors based on my archery skills, but I got to see some very fine shooters at work.

There were some vendors that filled out a big portion of my wish list. First, I snagged a Northern Mist Shelton in the green glass. 53 # and 68" long. Smmooooth! If you don't know Steve Turay, you need to. He is a great guy to deal with, and his longbows are NICE.

Everybody knows how pleasant it is to deal with Theresa Asbell, and this weekend was no different. The evening Stand Green pullover ought to be just the ticket in late season.

A couple of weeks ago I was whining about having trouble cutting self nocks on arrows. Somebody on the Gang said there are jigs that can help cut even nocks. I was able to find one there also.

This was a great shoot, and lots of fun. It is well worth the ride, because the venue is so good, Terry puts on a great event, and there are always a bunch of good vendors. Y'all come on down next year.
