Been playing around with vintage recurves for several years and decided it is time for a new bow made with modern material. Called Sky Archery last week and ask to come in and decide exactly what I wanted in terms of form and function. Ordered a 60" Thunder Recurve pulling 43# @ 29" and I am already dreaming of hunting with it this fall.

Jim walked me through his shop and explained the process of making one of his recurves. He was extremely generous with his time. In addition to having a fine bow I am proud to have a product hand made here in the US, locally.

I want to make it clear that I went through my local shop to actually purchase the bow. When completed my bow will be shipped to the shop and I actually buy it from there. Gotta support that establishment as well.

I have a Sky Thunder and it is a great performing bow, the bow is light weight but rockets the arrows as if on nitro !!!
