Thinking about getting a backquiver this year.

But how do you keep rain from getting in it?
Is it a concern?
Do you treat the inside with anything?

If I'm expecting to bowhunt in rain, I use my Catquiver. However I have been caught out there with my backquiver.

First, I always carry a hood to protect the feathers even though I silicone them prior to any hunts. If your backquiver rides properly on your back, it's mostly off to one side so very little if any rain should be a problem.

When I'm in my natural blind or just hiding, I lay the quiver flat on the ground during any rain. Again, don't really see this a problem.

Quiver should lay on your back very similar to this photo

Nice quiver!  Who made the one with the outside pocket?

I made a 'hoodie' for my last back quiver.  Just a bag of water repellant nylon that slipped over the arrows and mouth of the quiver.  Carried one arrow in my bow-hand while traveling.

if i am hunting in the rain i just put a plastic bag over the arrows it is simple and cheap i find the bread bags the best plus ya'll get to eat the bread   :campfire:  toasted

Muth....that's my Dave Creger. Been using for a good 10 yrs. Quiver behind it is my John Schulz which I retired(new in 1977) and used strictly for roving and small game.

Thanks Joe.  Looks like it holds the arrows tight.  Do they rattle around much?

I never hunt in the rain for a whole bunch of reasons. When I have to (like on out of state hunts) I use the removable plastic hood from an old cheap rain suit.

If I'm hunting in the rain the first problem is my glasses...I can't see anything. LOL
