I have used the first light pants the past two falls and on a recent Texas javelina hunt.  Look as good today as the first time I wore them..

They aren't warm, but I've really liked my camo 5.11 pants. Lots of pockets, rip-stop fabric (very tough), water resistant(almost proof), heavy knees, and has an elastic/type waist to allow for a little layering. I hunt almost exclusively from the ground and use knee pads so I'm not sure how we'll they would hold up like that without pads. I love these pants so much that I got a pair in their tan color and painted them to look a little like a-tacs camo. They disappear in lighter cover.

The problem I have with the pricey pants-Kuiu, Sitka and others is the 'swish swish'. No way would I call them white tail quiet. I wear my Sitkas sometimes but much prefer Microtex for quiet stalking. Cabelas has a new product replacing the Microtex Light. I have some arriving in a day or two-hope it is quiet!   :archer2:
