Came across this bow to find out that it is located near where I live.  First I've seen one of these and wondered if anyone could comment.  The bow is 62" 53@28.

I know Jim's 3 piece recurve has a cult following but have never seen a one piece longbow.

Are they fast flight compatible?  How do people like the grip?  What are your thoughts in general.

Search tool brought back a few threads, but not much to speak of.

Thanks,

~CB

I have one made decades ago and if it wasn't so heavy weight I'd still be hunting with it.  Its a great bow and I think mine has FF on it but I am not sure.

I have one.  62 44@28.  Osage and Elm veneers...good shooter but too light for me.  My wife and daughter shoot it once in awhile.

Thanks guys!  I have committed to buying this bow.  The wife is in Anchorage today and that's where the seller is located.  How I pulled this off without a fight is remarkable.

No shipping charges!  With so much hunting up here you never know what might pop up.

It does have antler tip overlays.

Nice.  Good weight.  Wish mine was that heavy.

I think you'll love that bow.  USAF?  I retired a few years back.... need to get up that way and chase moose/bear before I am too old.

David,  You should be able to do moose and bear at a very ripe age.  It's the sheep and goats that become a concern.  No Sir, not USAF.  I live and work on the Kenai Peninsula.

I'm trying to work up to 60lbs, but this draw weight spoke to me for trying a bow that I know nothing about.  Good all around weight for hunting most critters, legal for moose and a
weight that should appeal to potential buyers if it's not my fit.

Price was right!

Thanks y'all,

I have one 66" ,60# @28", to heavy for me to shoot much now but I bring it out once in a while for a few shots.Very smooth and forgiving. I have never used FF on mine.
were it worth the trouble? Huh? What trouble?

mike g

You guys with the bows slightly to heavy, Most bowyers can take 5 Lbs off of them....

I've thought about that - but this old friend and I have too many memories - I'm leaving it as it was so my grandson one day can have his Pa Pa's bow  :)

I had one of those bows and let it go and still kick myself for it!  It was beautiful 70#@27" and shot great.  Live and learn!
