I got in this morning from work and decided I had enough time to run out and get a hunt in. It was a nice wintry day here in south Texas. The sky was overcast and it was cold, but not much wind. It is just the kind of weather I like to get out and do some stalking around in. I jumped a jack rabbit and kept running it from bush to bush until I got a fifteen yard shot on it. I was so excited that I got a good hit on it.

Here are quite a few pictures, like I said I was so excited. It is my first rabbit. I just bought my Coupes cap from Two Tracks archery, and I was very happy to get to where my new vintage Filson jacket. I felt more excited about my first rabbit than I did about my first deer!

Thanks Jesse! It's funny you say that one is big. I jumped one earlier in the day that would not give me a shot, but it made this one look like a baby!

Great shot! Congrats!!

I'm hoping to get out and try for some over the next couple of days (if the road crews get the snow & ice cleared off well enough for me to get to a hunting area...) I figured with the snow on the ground, I might actually have a chance at seeing some BEFORE they bust & run.

That's agood lookin' bow, too! What is it?
