Hello,

I have a hoyt buffalo (62" and 50#@28), it is very noisy for my taste !   :banghead:
I have a bowstring in SBD (10 strands) with Rubber Cat Whiskers and limb saver.
What bowstring you advise me ?

Thanks

I always thought my Buff was noisy but lots of people commented on how quiet it was and when someone else shot it I was always surprised at how quiet it was.  I had rubber whiskers and felt on the limb tips.

Bring it up to 8 and try it. Mine was best at
8-1/4" if I remember correctly. May have been
8-1/2".
Good Luck!

Hoyt Buffalo brace height range is 7" to 8" according to their website.Mine shoots pretty quiet right at 7&5/8".I shoot a padded loop 12 strand 8190 on mine with bow hush and whoolie wisps silencers and shoot arrows alittle over 9 GPI.

had a buffalo in the same specs you have. i shoot split finger and shot mine with an even tiller,8 1/4 brace height, and SBD string. mine was really quiet set up this way. great shooting bows!!

Like others said. The buff likes to be over 8.

Tinker with the tuning, nock fit right snap, heavier arrow, work on a clean release.  My favorite string is currently 18-20 strands of BCY-X with the loops padded to 24.

As others have said keep the brace height up around 8 1/4 shoots good on mine and pad limb tips, use silencers and smaller string that does not fit arrow nocks too tight and you should be good.  I shoot my tiller at 1/16+ on top limb for my 3-under draw and very quiet with my custom string.  Pad riser limb pads as well.
They'll be no quitters till we bag us some critters!

I ran my brace height up to 8 3/4" before it made a difference.

Get some of the string wraps from bow hush and good wool or beaver silencers and use heavy arrows.

To be honest I never could get mine quiet enough for my tastes and sold it.
