Truly Beautiful!
I just sat here and pondered the use of glass arrow heads. Glass is the only man made material that in a solid state can be made one molecule in thickness. That means it can be made sharper than any steel or ceramic. There is no finer edge than one molecule of thickness. Truly microscopic serrations would be produced,; but you better not hit bone.
It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the world and moral courage so rare. ~Mark Twain

C2, I understand what you're saying -- glass is definitely very brittle and can break easily.  I wish I understood the "how and why" of it, but it can also be amazingly durable.  Here's a photo of a glass point I killed a 90 pound hog with.  On the way in it cut a rib half in two.  On the way out, it completely severed a rib.  As far as I can tell, the point is perfect and still very sharp.  Who woulda thunk it?

Thanks for all the kind words, folks.  Bert, I'm very glad you like them.  Now that we've seen the "before" photos, I hope to see some "after" pics like Doc's!    :wavey:    Don't worry about breaking them -- I work at the factory and can get more.   ;)

They will be coming with me on numerous Mule Deer outings, we have some of the finest Mule Deer country in the world and I am very lucky to be living where I do.
I will definetly keep you all posted on how these points perform, I have all the confidence in the world they will be awesome.
Take care all, have a great season.
Regards, Bert.  :D    :D    :wavey:

Woody,
Your a true artist and an inspiration to me. I am just learning but plan on getting your video and wearing it out. I have obsidian preforms that I have been pressure flaking. They turn out decent for a beginner I guess. But I'd like to learn from raw material to finished points.

Thanks again for showing us these.

(oh BTW I tried to click the link on your site to order the dvd but I get a security certificate warning. Just FYI)

Gorgeous.  I'd have a hard time shooting them.  I'd be afraid of missing and loosing them which then guarantees that I'd miss.  LOL.
