I am looking for the most informational and thorough book or dvd on gap shooting. I gap shoot now and do fairly well just looking for something that I can read our watch that may give me a few tips or new ideas. I shoot gap because I find it the best system for me as I can't hardly see out of my one eye.  so I am forced to close one eye when I shoot. considering some of Byron Ferguson stuff or Rick Welch? But I am open to suggestions . Thanks steve

I like Masters of the Barebow, Volume III.  Little is said about aiming systems--the focus is on the shot process--but it obviously works.  Rod is a gap shooter, and I believe Larry is also?  Either way, as they note--aiming is a very small part of the shot when done right.  Get your form down, accuracy will follow, regardless of how you aim.

In Master of the Barebow I, Rod really explains the basics of gap shooting.

As far as books go, I like Byron Ferguson's book, "Become the Arrow".

I am also a gap shooter with only one good eye. Shooting with both eyes open is easier now than when I had two good eyes. Of course, I had to change from right to left to get there.

Rick Welch doesn't cover gapping. Jimmy Blackmon's videos on youtube are some of the best I've seen, and Rod Jenkin's section in MBB vol. 1 is great too. Larry Yien describes gapping at the bow in vol. 2. Not as in depth, but it's a different style that may work better for you than gapping at the target.

I second the Jimmy Blackmon videos, available free on YouTube.  He specifically addresses gap shooting in at least a couple videos.
