http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/slideshow/Albumi  have been bareshaft tunning with decent results. my fletched shafts have been grouping good out to 20 yards and bareshafts are 6 inches low. all shafts are in line up and down. then tonight i was shooting in the shop as the pics show (6-7 yards) and bareshafts were hitting target as shown.

any advice welcome. thanks.

A couple of thoughts.
1. Knock point too low?
2. Brace height too low?
Inquiring minds.......

Lets us have brace height, tiller, nock height and shooting split or three under. Are you shooting with bow vertical for tuning? Bare shaft 6" low at twenty is a lot.

Looks like either a high nock point, could be nock to low and bareshaft bouncing off riser. Do you notice and porpoising with fletched shaft?

Thinking about it just raise nock point and see what happens, if bareshafts come up then was to low, if gets worse nock was to high.
shoot straight shoot often

Caughtandhobble

Try two nocking points on your string... Also looks like nock point too high to me. Good luck.

bh 7 1/4
I assume tillered for split (martin x200)
I shoot 3 under
nock height 3/8 above 90 degrees
bow is vertical

ill try all the advice above, and keep tinkering.
thank you.

I would move the nock up a little at a time. Most 3 under shooters I know have a fairly high nock-5/8+. Adding a second nock is always a good idea. In order to get good feedback you really need to bareshaft 20 yards and more and have a clean release. How are your feathered shafts flying?

karrow

bareshafts fly good. the reason for me going back and bareshafting is I was having trouble with broadheads flying true

What are the broadheads compared to fletched doing different.

Agree with Bjorn, nock point does sound low if tillered for split.
shoot straight shoot often

I have never played with a Martin, but most of my recurves seem to like a little higher brace heights.

Typically 7 1/2 to 8.  Did you play with the brace height and get that set first?

Remember, change 1 thing at a time.
