I was just sitting here considering how many people think about their heath and making life changes to make it better. Now how many out there believe that by pursuing a Traditional Bow hunting
lifestyle that you will have a long and healthy life.

I don't think that pursuing a traditional bow hunting lifestyle alone will lead to a long and healthy life, and would probably require a lot more than just shooting a traditional bow. If you are referring to the exercise, and the quality of meat that you will be consuming in comparison to the garbage that you buy in the grocery store, I'm sure it would be a contributing factor. Having a healthy life style is a byproduct of making the right choices, not because you decided to start shooting a traditional bow.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong!

I am going through a bad time with my health . Being in the woods with my bow or on a mountain creek with a tenkra rode has been of a great help to me . Hunting and fishing brings one closer to God and mother earth . Macking one self happier and brightening ones soil leads to a longer and fuller life .

A longer and healthier life...no doubt in my mind

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Beats watching sports on TV; but you can't fight genetics for longevity.

Bowhunting can certainly be part of a healthy lifestyle.  Meat without steroids, antibiotics or preservitives.  Exercise.  Mental concentration.  Dexterity and relaxation of making wood arrows and fletching them.  All good stuff.

Hmmmm.  Don't know.  I've been hunting with a stick since I was seven.  I'm 67 now.  I'll let you know in another 20 years.

You can eat right ,exercise and enjoy the world and woods with a rifle, hand gun, fishing rod, hiking boots or camera.
shooting a trad bow will not make you a better person. Being a better person will make you a better person. There's no way I could feed my family  with the meat I harvest. She does not like coyote or ground squirrels    ;)    What is really a trad life style any way?

I have several health issues, primarily diabetes and blood pressure. I am treating these with medication, weight loss, and improved diet. Trad bowhunting does not specifically address these physical conditions, but it is still important in my general well being.

Trad bow hunting does play a very important role in the emotional aspect of my life. When I am on the stand, I am at ease, and for a short time I can let go of some of the worries and problems of daily life. This ability to reduce stress is beneficial to any health improvement plan.

Balance is the word that comes to my mind. Life often will not mirror our vision of perfect at any given moment but I still see it as a blank canvas awaiting our life choices...  it's beautiful and it's ours to do with as we please.

My best friend reminded me more than once that "tomorrow is promised to no one". If you have ever witnessed a person plucked from their life, in one day, by the diagnosis of leukemia... it would give that thought more weight.

Time is an often unrecognized gift. Invest time and effort in your physical health... Invest time and effort in that circle of family and friends that love you... get right with God.
Balance and choose as you wish... it's your canvas, your masterpiece, your time.

Just my thoughts on a snowy cold day with a cup of coco...

Health benefits would not come from the trad bow side, but from multiple things that are involved. You can gun hunt, fish, or go for a hike and have the same results to help with health benefits.

The biggest benefit that comes to mind is getting rid of stress.  Work, Kids, illness, cleaning, and other things can build up which can be huge. Those were mine this week and that is nothing compared to some others people have.  When I was LEO stress was insane, but for me when I am out in the woods or on a lake, maybe even fishing that stuff seems to disappear for awhile and when you get home your able to deal with the problems at hand better which leads to less stress.

Remember when you are hunting that every single second should be stress free and in order to do that you need to be safe as possible.
