Good to hear, David. He is young and in great shape so he should have no problems with form, etc.

Sorry you lost your deer last week. I lost one like that a few years ago and it was is a populated area. Those yotes know where the food is.
The best things in life....aren't things!

Very nice feather shape.  Looks like Bears feathers.  Your dye job looks really nice.  What process did you use.

Hi Bill. A year ago I bought a Robertson Vision Falcon and shot it quite a bit. This fall I pretty much dedicated myself to trad.

I only took my compound out once. Wouldn't you know, the buck I hunted all fall stepped out at twenty yards!

Hunted the rest of the way with the Whip. I'm loving it!

Thanks Jon! I used food coloring. Found the process by searching here.

Soaked the feathers first in warm water and soap.

Rinsed with clean water.

Soaked in hot water and a splash of vinegar with the food coloring.

Placed them on a paper towel to dry.

Very simple!

Fletched and burned. Not quite as red as I hoped, but not bad.
