A few of you saw my first pics of this mater raider that showed up in my garden and held his ground.Well I havent seen him in a while so I pulled the mater stakes and head down to the garden with the bush hog and guess who came back to finish them off.

Unless you're the lead dog, the scenery never changes....

Don't know how the hunting pressure is around your house but you might want to try and put an orange collar on that deer.  Then again, would a collar discourage hunters or encourage some.

Awesome encounters.

Just a suggestion - if that deer is a buck I would not encourage that type of behavior.  It all seems innocent but I have been on the recieving end of more than one "tame" deer during the rutting season and I can tell you they will hurt you.  I don't want to be the guy that says not to do something but just use caution especially if it is a buck.
I worked at a deer research pen and we have had several deer come to us from folks that bottle raised them and they got too agressive.  One of them put a guy in the hospital before he came to us - luckily he became preoccupied with does when he got to our pens and he never botherd us.  We had several others that we wern't so lucky with and let me say even a cattle prod won't always work.  Just be careful please.

Hey Stephen isn't that considered baiting? LOL All kidding aside. Great pics for the memories! You will treasure those for years to come.

Thats funny stuff right there.  Put a collar on that deer so she don't get shot and put up posters around town letting people know don't shoot this deer. You never know it might work.
Sticks and stones break deer bones.

My sister in-law has been getting deer to eat out of her hand, let her touch them and all, even putting orange ribbons around their necks for the last couple of years. I wish I could say it has worked, but so far it hasn't they always come up "missing". I tell her I know its fun and all, but I don't think she's doing them a favor by getting them to be unafraid of humans. She won't listen, and just keeps on.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Goodbye Shiner you were always a good dog.
