This guy was in the yard looking at my targets. He dint say much but by the look on his face he wasn't impressed with my group in the blue block target. Lets see what he has to say next year.    :readit:

The deer have been checking out the rolled up hide on my target too. They don't get alarmed just sniff, lick and move about their way.

I love seeing the deer in my yard. They just started building on the lot next to me and the deer have pretty much stayed away for now. They will be back though, once the house is finished and things get back to normal.

I hope all is well with you and yours, Izzy!

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Drew on two different bucks last week in the back yard. Slipped in on one at 5 yards and the other at 15 yards...was quite fulfilling to go thru the exercise.

Will state that I was quite frustrated when hunting turkeys hard one hot day with not ever locating one. Came home and the wife was more than pleased to tell me that a gob had been strutting all morning in the back yard.

Very cool picture!  Found a couple of small deer tracks in the garden, but I have not caught then in our back yard yet!

Ours have disappeared this fall. We used to have a bunch in our yard and we live in the city. Had one doe early Sept. who hung around. I was walking up the hill from our house to my shop and she was standing in front of the shop door. She was 10 yards from me and watched me unlock the door and go in. When I came back out she was still there and I talked to her a bit about how foolish she was acting. Not sure, but I think she told me to mind my own business and was still standing there when I got back to the house.

A few years ago we had a few (doe and 2 fawns) who grazed under our bedroom window. My wife thought they were so cute she started putting shelled corn out. I told her it was
a. against MI no-baiting law
b. gonna create a nuisance problem

Never got any trouble from the DNR, but the 3 grew to 11 and then they started on her holly bushes and she didn't find them so cute any more.

I'd guess he is an anti hunting vegetarian type.
Keep you eye out for sabotage.

I spent a day on the back hill last week and dragged myself back in at dusk - only to jump two deer who were bedded behind my target butt behind the house!

Man, I love whitetail.  No matter how fierce and prepared I feel they manage to rub my nose in it.

Gonna be hotdogs this coming year if I don't see something in range soon.  Lots just past where I feel comfortable or in heavy cover - and these two who surprised me.

LOL great pic!

My neighbors would love me to shoot one of the two deer working over their shrubs but I have to go at least a mile into the woods (and well out of town) before I knock an arrow.  Also, doesn't seem right to track a deer around the swings and picnic tables!

Glad you have some "yard deer" to enjoy!
