Setting up camp nov 18 to the 23rd of nov with a long time buddy anyone hunt this area? Any tips or insight appreciated this is my first out of state hunt since I started back in 1982

I have. We didn't particularly like it that well. Big open woods can see long ways. Didn't see much in the way of deer. Only rifle hunted it.

Liked dolly sods much better

I saw more deer in the late 80's and early 90's as a student at WVU on the University forest which borders Cooper's Rock.  I haven't hunted it since, but the University forest was always very well managed... clear cuts, young growth, etc..  Call the WVU forestry department for current specifics and information.
