Good looking country you're hunting in.

Trad Whitetail

I feel your pain.  Where I went there were hunters everywhere and sheep where there weren't hunters!  I found fresh sign but that has been it.  I think I am changing locations next year.   :banghead:     The one thing I do regret is not shooting any grouse or squirrels - there were tons of them everywhere.  Didn't want to spook the elk though   .  Oh well.  I had some great hikes in beautiful country!

What I think about when I am not seeing any game is that I'm living a life that many people only get to dream about.

Pat, keep after them! Dam moo cows wreck everything...

Thanks for the wyoming fix with the pictures!

I know those turkeys and whitetails are in big trouble.
Just a Coyote Soul out wandering...

Come on Pat, hit the road. Youve put in some hours now its only a matter of time. Hopefully everyones cleared out and you get on an elk. Dont forget to take me some pics.  One more day of work and a few chores and my season begins.   :archer2:

Hunt like your life depends on it !

Izzy,
I'm out the door in about an hour. Forecast is for snow the next two days, so that should make for some good tracking. Good luck on your opener.
Hey Drew,
I thought you and the better half were headed this way last summer. If so, you missed out on some good fishing when you didn't get hold of me. Maybe next year!
If you don't like cops, next time you need help, call Al Sharpton

I too "feel your pain". I had 4 weeks to hunt elk and seen one lone bull the entire trip. I messed up bad as he was put right in my lap and I failed to do my part.

I didn't call him in, he was just feeding and ran into me! At 25 yards I passed on a broadside shot, deciding to wait on a closer one. He ended up spotting me at 15 yards and the game was over.

Being only the second day... I wasn't upset as I was hearing lots of bulls that first weekend. After that it went "dead"... and I've been kicking myself ever since for not taking that shot!

Good luck... at least your season isn't over like mine is.
