Wisconsin Archery season opened September 14th. I can't wait to finally get out on my days off! How many of you have gotten out? Has anyone had any successful harvests?

I wanted to create a page for those of us who hunt Wisconsin. Please post your fun encounters, funny experiences and successful harvest pics!

Been out, have a nice doe in the cooler, resting for a couple days. She was the only deer I have seen so far this year.   I presume there will be more sightings, especially after the leaves start to fall.

Good luck on your hunt.

I will be hunting public land again this year, so I'm in for a challenge!    Good luck to all!

Good luck guys.  My little brother had a small 8 point all around him all day on the opener.  Rained out on Sunday.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Nothing so far, but this cold weather has me pumped. Good luck everyone!

Burnsie

My nephew already took a nice little 6 pointer.

Haven't made it out yet, although does, fawns and turkeys are showing up fairly regularly in a food plot at the back of the farm. It was 28 degrees this morning and made it into the upper 50s during the day. Trees are just starting to turn. Gotta get out soon.

Congrats to your nephew, Burnsie. Sounds like a fun encounter, Cyclic!

Not out for deer yet but did spend 5 days looking at a bear bait.
Next week i got another 5 days set aside for bear hunting.

I hope to spend some time chasing a fall turkey.  I hunt public areas and find that turkeys are a bit skittish, however, I have been somewhat successful using a boom stick in my past, so I am excited.  I can also go during the week now so I expect a bit less human activity.

Good luck all

Hoot-n-Shoot

I was out dark and early sat morning. It is such a pleasing feeling getting all your hunting gear together and hitting the woods. There was a good moon position but I saw no deer.  I did however hear a deer blowing on my way out of the woods.  Busted me! Darn they have good ears and nose.  Lets hear from all you sconies out there.

I'm going crazy.

Months of waiting and then deer, skwerl, turkey, goose, sturgeon and others open all at once !
