In my ever expanding collection of wood bows, there  lies a BooBacked Hickory with alot of sentimental value that Id love to hunt with this year, Im just afraid  the power isnt there...

Shes well tillered, 52@27 and shoots a 590 Grain arrow an average of 143 Yards (A chrono would help alot here...Sorry guys). My arrows are tipped with shaving sharp Magnus II's (I cant get the Grizzly's sharp enough to sleep well at night)and fly like darts out to 25 yards...

With specs like that, can I take deer with her?
Thanks Gang...

The first selfbow I ever killed a deer with drew 65# @ 25".  But in the heat of the moment, I snap drew and fired it from a partial draw, maybe 35 or 40#  @ something-teen inches.  I don't know if my arrow left the bow at 100 fps.  But I planted the arrow in the boiler room and heard the deer crash in about 5 seconds.

So, I'd say you're good.   :)
