I have had the same problem with the string hitting my nose as has postman. But only when I shoot a tab...so now I just shoot a glove and have no problems.

I go back and forth on tab and glove.  So far the gloves I like best are the Dura-glove and Big Shot.  I have not tried the cross over. My only issues with the Dura-glove are that my index finger nylon overlay is too short, and I am between a medium and large so getting the medium fitting has taken a while.  If it was not for the size thing, I would say the Dura-glove would take little break in. I get a very clean release with it.

My family and I all use dura gloves.  They are comfortable to shoot right away.  They also are tough, and last a long time.

I like the Howard Hill Deluxe glove.  Heavy leather with nylon inserts.

I could never shoot with a tab.  Have no idea how people shoot them.  I use a Berlin glove from 3 Rivers.  Has a little extra leather on the finger tips.  Good feel of the string.
Same here,I tried a tab more than once and never was comfortable with it.
I have mostly used Berlin gloves over the years and now curious about the crossover glove after reading this thread.

I don't like gloves, to hot/confining especially in summer.

I use the Black Widow Stick Tite glove. It is by far the best glove I have ever used. No more tapping my shoulder & the nylon on the tips affords a super smooth release & zero finger fatigue.

dura glove all the way. I love them they hold up great.for me the Damascus glove is too thin an if it gets wet it drys hard an they wear out too quick.the duragloves leather is a little heavier it takes water or morning dew better an stays soft.however a lot of people do like the Damascus glove.one other thing the Damascus is also affected by sweat quicker.I would also stay away from gloves with mole skin tips they feel great an you get a great release off of them but they wear out too quick.gloves arnt too expensive buy two an try them out we all have a different feel.hope I was some help take.good luck
