Just got two strings for my sons bow from Piere.I use these strings on all my bows.I know there is a lot of discussion on skinny strings compared to regular. For me these strings are the best ,I definetly see a difference in performance as well as making   my bows quiter.I talked to Pierr on the phone and he was very helpful and friendly. He is a sponsor on here and will continue to get my bussiness. If anyone is considering giving a skinny string a try give him a call he is a good man who makes an excellent product

I second Wigeons comment I use the 6 strand on my buffalo bow and because of te B50 padded loops even on my self bow.
On my two Big Jim buffalo bows one is 50 lbs one is 55 the 50 pounder with a SBD 6 strand shoots as hard as the 55 pounder. Enough where I had to jump up a spine in arrows.

You are preaching to the choir here  :) . Pierre is a fine man to deal with and his strings are perfect.  They are quiet, but the thine thing I really like is the serving material and the consistency of the diameters.

I'm thinking of making my next string a SBD,skinny string for my 50lbs. Do they weaken the arrow spine in most or all bows? My current string is a D97. If so, I'm not put off by it, I just want to use up the arrows I have without cutting them down or using lighter point.

If they make your arrows a little weak just pad your side plate out a little. Simple fix. No cuttings shafts or changing point weights needed.

I had to finally order a new string from Pierre, but I forgot what the specs were, but I found the old package label which had all the info on it. Made it so simple to reorder.
I was looking at others on the site, but why change from something that you are happy with  :bigsmyl:

I ordered 2 SBD strings for my A&H bow off of the A&H website.  The small gain in arrow speed is nice but I was mainly trying them out because Pierre claimed that the skinny strings would be quieter too.

I must admit that I really didn't believe it.  I'd always heard a "heavy" string was quieter.  However, to my ear, the SBD strings were noticably quieter.  Some will argue that they really aren't just the "tone" changed.  I didn't measure the sound difference on a meter but there was a significant difference to my ear.  This reason alone is reason to try one.

Note, the serving on the ones from the A&H site is too small for my Gold Tip Hunter nocks.  I wrap the serving with floss and it works for quite a while before it wears through.  A bit of a pain though.  So make sure you get the diameter serving that fits your nocks.

Got a new SBD string in the mail yesterday and had a slight issue with the length and serving location for my bow.  Talked to Pierre about 5 min ago and his response was "Is tomorrow too late to send you a new string?"
Seriously folks, it doesn't get better than that.  Thank you Pierre, I'd buy strings from you even if they weren't awesome, it's just a bonus that they are!
