I am slobberin over the photos of Big Jims bows.  Done shorted out the key board.  What I got to know is, how much different shooting longbow vs. recurve?

Welcome Drycreek!!  

No difference, form is form.  That said, you will get more answers in the Pow Wow section on equipment questions.  You will get LOTS of opinions there.
