3 an 4 leg stools can have issues when the ground is unlevel or roots are exposed.
Looking at a Big Jim Hunter seat or a torges tree seat.
Over the last 7  years of ground hunting you better be comfortable or you will be sorry.

I like my DB for inside of a ground blind, but I want to get that hammock seat from Steve at Simply Traditional before deer season this year.

Is there a good size and pattern for the torges seat? Are you guys using some type of pad? I like the idea, and have tried one a couple times, just didn't seem to comfortable to me. Call me a sissy, but I like to be comfy when I deer hunt.    :D

Glue padding to seat.

anytime you sit with your full weight on you butt its not comfortable. Unless you have a recliner in the woods

I use the hammock seat or a nif-t seat. Both very light weight and supports the 250# strain I put on them. The hammock is more comfortable though.

I just used left over material from around the house  and didn't worry about how pretty it is.

I don't use it all the time, but have used it and found it to be comfy. I think I prefer it when sitting high up so I can stand to shoot...of course, the cover and set up have to warrant it.

Take a look at the ground hunter seat. We have it on our site and I have tested it many times. It works very well and helps the hunter blend in to the tree.
Lightweight and inexpensive, it makes for a comfortable sit and a super quick and quiet set up. It also allows you to set it higher or lower for ease of movement.
Not going to work in a ground blind, but most anywhere else i would be the bomb.

I like it a bunch and tip the scales at a bit over 325 with all my hunting gear on.
