Tip wedges?

Do help performance or just cosmeticly pleasing? Just wondering. I just a really northern mist classic in a trade and noticed that it had them and my other did not.

Dustin, the wedges are there to provide some extra thickness and support on the limb tips--a bit more toughness I guess you could say.  Not all of my Hill style bows have them, but my Howard Hill bows, Northern Mist, Talon classic, and John Schulz bows all have them.  I feel better with their being there.

Tip wedges can help protect theq tips but they also stiffen the tips to manipulate string angle at full draw and prevent stacking.

Wedges or overlays?  Regardless, they're both added to provide additional strength in the limb nock area.  Both add beauty as well, IMO. They might slow the bow a little, but not enough to matter.
