I thought someone might know off the top of his head. I'm assuming they are 15-17" tall like many outdoor "boots." The taller the better in my opinion.

If nobody knows, I'll get around to calling this week and post the answer.

Arrow Moccasin.

I have their Canoe Moc and Lace Boot. Love them.

They run an ad in Traditional Bowhunter Magazine

I haven't called yet, but I found my old receipts and a flyer. The flyer states that these are 12" high.

I'll call at some point when I get some time and report if I hear anything different.

For those interested...here is a pic after a 16 mile hike in Big Bend.

Were they coming apart after 16 miles?

No, not at all. Just dusty.

This is the best pair of shoes I've ever owned...Durable and comfortable.

I have a pair and really like them. I'd guess they are about 12", their website doesn't say. I'll measure mine when I get home. My only complaint after over a year is the dye smell is still very strong - wife won't let me keep them in "our" closet.

The dye smell is a little outrageous.  My wife says, "it smells like sh#t in here."  I tried to blame it on the dog, but she didn't buy it.  Otherwise they are great.

Great product. Lace boot here, double bottom. Couple of years old lots of time in them. Form to your feet. Highly recommend them if your looking for a moc.

You are correct. I called at lunch. They said 11-12". Said they could make them a couple inches taller if I preferred, but the limiting factor is still being able to get a hand in there to sew.

I've worn mine enough that they don't smell anymore....well maybe they smell like feet  :)

I saw these in Traditional Bowhunter the other day and looked up their web site...

TxAg- could you post a pic of your canoe moc?

Here they are before I broke them in. They look the same now, except they've comformed to my feet and aren't quite so shiny (I had just used SnoSeal on them before the pic).

I like these - were these standard sizes or did you have to trace your feet? Did the dye bleed into your socks?

TxAg

I like a wide shoe, so these were made to be 10.5 E.  In a normal running shoe, I wear an 11 EE. From what I was told most running shoes (made overseas)claim a EE but are really an E so that's what I went with. These stretch a bit and mold to your foot, hence a 10.5 and not an 11.

I didn't trace my foot. I asked about that and was told there was no need based on what I was ordering.

I don't wear socks much with my canoe mocs, but always do with my lace boots. Yes, they'll bleed a little at first.

I knew this would be your post when I saw the title.  That big water moccasin give you a bit of a pause the other night? :)
