Happy fathers day everyone. I have a 60@28 recurve that I weighed on my homeade scale and it's actually 55. Plus I only draw 26 and some change. I see that I'm supposed to use 16 strand for anything over 50lb., and I'm content but could I not get away with 14 strand since I have a shorter draw. If so are there any benefits to this other than the fact that right now I have to boil all my nocks to fit proper.have a nice day!

First, I'd get B-55 from BCY.  Less stretch, less creep.

If the bow is 55@28, then you will be pulling around 50@26--maybe a little less.  You can use 12 or 14 strands.  12 will stretch/creep a bit more, but it will be safe.
