He Gang, I Know this may be a Ridiculous Question, and some may say just shoot your arrows and figure it out yourself, but I am hoping with all the experience here, someone will have done this.
Here my question ... Is it possible to have One Arrow Setup for Bows of Different Weight......
I have two Toelke Curlews, One is 60" with limbs of 53 and 60#'s . The other will be a 56" with 53# limbs. Could one Arrow Setup be a all round for what I have. I have Heard that the AD Arrows are more forgiving with different weights ? I want to change Arrows, I like my CX 250's , but I want something Made in the USA. I have been Shooting CX 250's out of my 60" with the 53# Limbs.... The Arrow is 30" with 250 grains at the tip...
I have been thinking about AD Hammerheads,  GT's , Byron Fergusons, I like about 600 grain total weight.... Any thoughts , tips,  or just figure it out yourself and what a stupid question , Answers would be appreciated..... Thanks, Sutty

I use 31" AD Hammerheads with all my bows. Seems to work quite well, and no tuning hassles.

AD's are extremely versatile in my experience.  The only bows that I haven't had much luck with them are ones that are cut way past center(3/16").
Another one that I'm using right now that is showing promise is Victory VAPs.

I shoot AD's thru a 31# Long bow 44# Black Widow 52# Widow 57# widow and a 60# Sky Archery. Same arrow with no problems.

I would think it would be easy if your willing to use different point weights.  53-60 might be a big jump for just one set up.

.400 spine shafts cut to approx. 30 1/2 inches, with 325 to 350 gr up front for the 60 lb'er...and 275 to 300 up front for the 53 lb'er, would " LIKELY " work. I shoot 35/55 .500 spine GT's at 30 1/2 in with 275 gr up front from a 50# @ 27 in long bow, and use the same shafts with 175 gr up front from my 57# @ 28 RD long bow. Can't say this will work for you, but i believe by experimenting with different point and insert weights you should be able to make it happen. JMO

If you are stuck on carbon I can't help. But you might try a 2020 in aluminum. You should be close to 600 grs with 160 up front.

I've done it, works ok to some extent but not so much on a wider 5+# bow swing! By the time you get enough point weight to weaken shaft spine for the lighter bow, you end up with a lot heavier finished arrow for the lighter bow than the heavier bow that will require less point weight. So you end up robbing FPS from your lighter bow. Your better off dropping down in arrow spine & GPI of shaft for the lighter bow instead. That way you can keep simalar GPP & arrow flight characteristics with both the heavier & lighter bow. Sure if you put enough fletching on anything you can hide an un-tuned shaft, but it's a bad idea.

I been using  some wood arrows spined 60-64# with 125 and 150 grain BH with great arrow flight out of 47 -50 bows......stabow

I have a 50lb. MHTD and a 55lb. MHTD. I draw 31 inches and shoot full length 2117 XX75s. Both bows hit where I'm aiming!

I shoot bows from 60 to 72 pounds and a 2219 with 175 grain point works well in all of them.

You can use two or more different bows and just about use the same arrow for all of them.

Start out by choosing an arrow that is under-spined(weak) for all of your bows. Then, start adding material behind your strike plate on the side of each bow until it's in tune with the arrows. Adding material behind a bow's strike plate pushes the arrow outward causing the arrow to behave in a stiffer manner. That's how I do it and it's never let me down. Of course, this method only works with different bows of varying weight and not with a single bow where you have different weight limbs and use the same riser.

I shoot 2117's from all my bows, one longbow and 3 recurves. Bow weights range from 52-58# at my 27" draw, arrows cut 28.5". I use 125/135/160 grain broadheads from all my setups.

I shoot 31" .340 ACCs out of all of my recurves, draw weights range from 50#@29"-59#@29".  I draw a fraction of an inch over 29" and that arrow will work with any of my bows assuming I swap tips.  Lighter tips on the heavier bows and 250 grain tips on the 50#'er.

After trying some new arrows today, I'm going to amend my previous post to include another arrow.

I've spent most all day shooting some 30" Victory VAPs with both 50 gr. Penetrator inserts and some of the 33 gr Firenock outserts.

I put these arrows through their paces with the following bows:  Kwyk Styk 52#@28", Stalker Longbow 50#@28", Toelke Whip 50#@28", NM Shelton 52#@28", and MOAB 54#@28".

Now the weights on all these bows are pretty close, but the cut to center differences is huge.  From -3/16" to +3/16".

These arrows with 250 gr. or 300 gr. up front were incredible.

I love my AD's for bows not cut to center cut, but I believe the VAPs are just as versatile.  Shooting the VAPs with heavy 250 gr-300 gr broadheads helps me get much closer to 10 gpp than my other setups.

Was playing around in the yard today and believe a skinny string ( SBD) on the lighter limbs and a d97 on the heavier would even things out too.
