I need a bow 50 to 55@30.5" for pop up blind hunting and tight treestands. Das, or ILF? My concern is finger pinch and limb durability. Your thoughts please.

Since the ILF field is so varied you need to state some preferences as to riser material, length of bow, etc. The difference between DAS and ILF is how the limbs attach to the riser, slip in or bolt, that's all.

I have a 19" Titan III riser with med. BF Extreme limbs and makes a 62" bow and a 17" Morrison wood/phenolic riser with BF Extreme limbs which make up a 60" bow. I love them both.

Metal riser for sure. Dabbled in this before awhile ago. But been hearing about these new static limbs and going shorter. I think I prefer the das attachment system.

+1 for Morrison or also Dryad.  Both make limbs to suit your long draw length.  I would tweak limb/riser length to suit your draw, either longer riser and shorter limbs or longer limbs and short riser to suit.

For your DL, I'D go with a 17" Dalaa and long limbs making a 62" AMO bow. Going with static tip limbs will make the overall length about 1 1/2" shorter than standard profile limbs. Dryad, Morrison, and Border all make static tip ILF limbs.

Finger pinch will not be an issue with longs on a 17" riser. I can't personally speak to the durability of the Morrison or Borders, but the bamboo cored Dryad Epic limbs I owned ,and foolishly traded, were great limbs. The only thing with static tip limbs is, you have to be very careful stringing and unstringing to prevent limb twist.

I had a titan 17 and loved that riser,  also had the TT carbon/ wood longs for target and they shot pretty nice and drew easy. Only other limbs I tried on it were dryad epic short (bamboo core)50-55#.  they drew very easy and shot the arrows fast, I just wasnt as consistant with them, just a little to short for my likings.

I just got a a morrison metal 13" riser with XL Max 1 limbs. That make a 60" bow 53# at 30". Real nice shooter. Really like it.

Lord the possibilitys are endless!!!!!!

Yes be careful with how short of limbs you get.  I draw a bit over 29 and I prefer mediums as a minimum, longs are nice too, but that's just me.  I even tried a set of XL Dryads on my 19" Morrison metal which made a 66" AMO bow and you could draw that thing clear behind your back haha.  Basically longer limbs/shorter riser will be smoother..shorter limbs longer riser will be faster.  Do some homework figure out your desired overall bow length and start there.  I prolly wouldn't go with 'shorts' at your draw but that's my opinion.  Also- the adjustment bolts really are used to set stack point and poundage at YOUR draw length...so you can get say '50#' limbs and then use the adjustment bolts to make em pull "50@30" etc and then set your tiller.  For a great guy to talk ILF and hunting with give Pete Ward a call.  Great guy.

I have the Das 15" & 17" Risers. I have a set of Border Hex 6 Longs that work on either riser very well. Mike at Dryad is making me a set of his ACS recurve limbs as we speak. longs work great at 29" draw.

Decision made. 17" Das riser and Epic limbs. Should come in at 50 or 51 at 30.5". Hope it meets my expectations. Now what arrows? Have an assortment of heads from 125 to 250gr.   :jumper:

I had a pair of Epic bamboo limbs. Loved them. Should never have sold them.

Your going to like this a lot, I have a set of XL Legend limbs on a 17" TT Apex, I like the Dryad limbs so well, I'm saving up for a set of bolt down limbs, already bought a used Orion riser with longbow limbs, I enjoy shooting it more than my TT Legend set up, might buy a set of their ACS longbow limbs instead of the ACS RC limbs.

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!
