Ok, so I got into ILF a couple months back.  I ended up with a 19" Morrison Gen2 metal riser.  Love the geometry of the riser and mass weight.

It came with a TT Titan low wrist walnut wood grip.

Well, I love the way the grip LOOKS.  But as far as how it fits in the hand it just plain SUCKS.  I hate it.  It is narrow in width and broad front to back so it makes for a huge amount of torque potential.  If I get my form just right I can hit center of my target but as soon as I relax just a little bit I am spraying arrows left and right, mostly right cause of natural tendency shooting lefty to pull string to the left.

I know it's the grip A. because it doesn't 'feel' right period, and B. because I pick up one of my longbows with a narrow round throat and have zero problem.

Hoyt grips don't fit, I don't really want another TT Titan grip..I thought about the medium wrist but it's prolly the same width so would make it worse in my mind??

Do I need to try a Jager? Or maybe just removed the grip all together and rubber wrap the riser?

This issue alone is making me strongly consider either selling the riser or the whole ILF shebang together, two sets of limbs and all.  Grip to me is a huge thing.

I briefly tried a Hoyt Excel and the ergo grip on that was much better, but that riser is like a vibey wet noodle with any poundage on it haha, to me anyway.  Too bad the Hoyt grips won't fit this Morrison.  I guess I had better just contact Bob.

Just shape the grip to whatever fits your hand

LOL but that would require WORK!  In all seriousness I barely have the time lately to shoot the bows let alone hand carve stuff.  Work and fatherhood get in the way, but in a GOOD way for sure  ;)

The grip I put on mine is a Dalaa grip from 3 Rivers, I think.

I think Bob Morrison offers some nice wood grips in various configurations...

There was nothing about the looks of those bows that turned me on in the least bit.  HOWEVER, I shot Jeff Springer's bow on a recent trip and that Jager grip blew me away!  I'm wading into the ILF waters as we speak and I can say FOR ME the Jager grip was what pushed me into the pool.

For me I don't care for those grips,I just put on a leather grip on my Morrison ILF metal riser.I like the narrow grip, one of the reasons I bought a metal riser ILF.I could put a grip on it or not put a grip on it,just my preference.

get a low grip Jager and your all set..amazing grip, a low grip made for the daala will work..I have them on my Gen 2 and Das

Thanks guys!  I will give the Jager/ Dalaa grip a go!  If that doesn't do it, then I will try a wrap on the riser itself like JRY said.

I couldn't get a 3rivers/Daala extra low grip to fit on my gen 2 Morrison. I would have had to do some grinding to get it to fit. I ended up calling Bob and getting a Jager low grip. Fits the riser perfect, includes two stainless allen button head bolts. It is the dual compound (plastic & rubber) version. I like an extra low grip so I'm going to grind the heel down slightly more.

So did you get it from Bob direct or did you order from Jäger, and if so, for which brand bow? Or just tell em its for a Morrison??

I ordered it directly from Bob. I had a hard time getting ahold of Paul Jager by phone so I placed one call to Bob, he picked up and took my order. I had the grip 2 days later and I think it was cheaper than ordering direct from Jager.
