opinions on carbon shafts

Looking at trying out a new carbon arrow, and  its between a skinny shaft like the beman centershots  a tapered shaft like th, arrow dynamics, or a standard like the ce heritage.  Any opinions between these choices?

Been there done that.  It is a tough decision. You really have to shoot all and see which shoots best out of your bow and the head weight you want.

Not much help, but that is what most end up doing.

I'm a fan of the AD's and the CE's.  But, you really should let your bow tell you which way to go.
The AD's are a great arrow for most bows that are cut from about center out.  If your bow is cut way past center, I'd put my money on the CE Heritage. YMMV

I like the CX heritage out of my Thunderchild. Play with them and see which your bow shoots the best. I to may try the slim carbons. Thanks for posting. God bless.

I've had real good luck with the CE Heritage. I shoot the 150 out of one bow and the 250's out of some others.

I shoot thin carbons, fat carbons, full metal jackets and aluminum...they all work for me...I shot a bear last spring with an Easton Fatboy which is generally viewed as a compound target arrow...dead bear in about 15 seconds...I do like the Easton HIT insert system though for broad head  alignment...my serious hunting arrows are fmj's with vpa penetrators

I have been shooting Trad Onlys from 3 rivers for the past several years, but recently bought a new to me Toelke Whip LB. I got some old SST 220 skinny shafts out to equip the grandkids and decided to shoot them from my Toelke, just to see how they shot. I AM IMPRESSED! They shoot so well, I've been using them for Turkey hunting.

Oh yeah... I found some old aluminum arrows for the kids.

I have been shooting Easton ACCs almost exclusively now for several years.  I've got a couple dozen Beman MFX Classics and a dozen Easton Axis and they are fine arrows but I don't like the HIT insert.  I use the same 31" ACC 3-60 (.340) with any of my 50#-59# recurves just by changing to  the appropriate point weight.

CE Heritage shafts are some of my favorite, that said if you find the spine your bow likes you can shoot a lot of shafts from the same bow, with the skinnies ya may have to add a little to the strike plate when shooting the same spine as say the 5/16th. shafts. Shawn

Most everyone will have their "own" favorite carbon shaft.

AD Trad Lites and AD Hammerhead Lites are the only carbons that I shoot now....

I have been shooting CE Heritage 250s for three years now.  They are some tough shafts.

I'm a big fan of the skinny carbons.

Less surface area means less resistance in flesh which equals better penetration. Not a lot of difference, but still some. Plus, mine fly great out of my bows.
