I have been shooting my homemade long bows..
I do also have a Samick "Redstag" that snaps them out much much better.
The Redstag is a 62" 40# w 3555 GT Trads 125gn rubber blunts, ff 14st.
The homemade is 60"maple, 50# burlap wrap, cane back... maple arrows 450gn.(average) 3pennies tapped up front.   :)   alot of fun!
