Pretty new to Trad.  Been warming up to it with a Samick Sage and have become addicted.  Picked Up an older Bear Grizzly today and needed help with the following.

First,  can anybody help me date it with the following info:  Serial Number/AMO   KR42987  AMO 56"  45#

Second, should I be looking to get a B50 Flemish Twist or B50 Endless loop for this bow?....and what length?

Thanks
Just trying to learn about things that interest me before my time is up.

Big Bird

The bow should be a 1970.B50 flemish twist string 56" amo.

59Alaskan

Welcome to tradgang and trad archery!  We are glad you are here!!

Big bird is correct, but i would say a Dacron  endless loop would also work.  That said i would go with the flemish twist.  Pick a reputable string maker here and let them know what bow you have.  They will help you.

Nice bow BTW.  They are great shooting little bows.

Brace height should be around 8" give or take.  You will want to play with that but I would start just shy if 8".

Go have some fun!!  That bow can kill any game in Texas as long as its tuned properly and you have sharp broadheads.

The bow originally came with an endless string.  Most of today's trad shooters like flemish strings, but the bow really doesn't care and an endless is generally just a touch faster as it will weigh less.
