I use Onestringer wraps on Arrow Dynamics which is a tapered shaft.

Start the wrap process in the middle of the wrap.  Line up the end of the wrap with your nock or nock insert.  Place the arrow down in the middle of the wrap.  Roll the arrow into the wrap one way and then back the other way.  I have a very hard time noticing any misalignment, and I'm the one who put the wrap on.  :)

I use solid color wraps so I can't speak to any cresting marks, patterns etc.

Ooops, must have edited away my first post.  You shouldn't have any issues with wraps on a tapered shaft. Onestringer has all the AD sizes listed on his site.
