Don Dow- Stik Bows

I'm not sure how many of you already know, or if this thread may have already been posted, but Don Dow is no longer making his famous 'stik bow by Don Dow' due to health issues.

I have owned two stik bows (one was bought used and another I just received 3 months ago).  My latest acquisition was one of the last bows he made before closing up shop.

I know there's many like me who really enjoy his bows.  Don is a great bowyer, a good man, and need of prayers.

I was actually going to order one of his bows when I saw the post on his site. I then went with Lynn Harrelson for his reputation as a great bowyer also.

Don makes a really great bow for the price.   For those of you that have harvest pictures with your stik, he really enjoys seeing those.

Don liked to visit on the phone. He built bows partly because he liked meeting people and staying busy. Don once told me that when the coffee pot was empty it was time to close for the day!

My son has a Don Dow longbow. It is a sweet bow. Fast and quiet. Very nice bow. Shoots just has well has my $640.00 bow.

I've always regretted selling my stikbow - great shooters. Very nice and helpful gentleman to talk to on the phone also. Prayers sent.

I'm fortunate to have a Don Dow longbow.  It is just as well made and equals the performance of bows costing twice as much.  Prayers sent out for restoration of Don's health.

I have one of his bows, and its my favorite shooter.  I'm really saddened to hear of his health issues, and will pray for a very speedy recovery.

I had one of Don's bows, and my son has one now. Very nice bows at a great price, and a pleasant man to deal with. Hate to hear that he is done. The Lord be with Don!
